Medical cities program

The program that must be ended in three years takes into consideration construction and repair works of medical cities. The old buildings of clinics will be given to another owner after the end of the program.
All of the blocks of clinics located in Digomi will be fully destroyed and there will be built up a new medical city according to program of the government.
Medical cities will be built in all of the districts of Tbilisi. The function of a medical city in Avlabari will be given to the 1st clinic and on Saburtalo this type of city will become a republican clinic.
According to the program, centers will be equipped with modern tools. All of the medical cities will have a joint recource base.
System of clinics in Tbilisi will get a model of New York i.e. a patient has to be transported to the hospital in 15 minutes.
